Rhett is 10

 Rhett is really into the Halo video game. So I made him this cake.

We asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday and he said go to I Hop so Ty went into work late and we all went to I Hop for breakfast. 

     I love this sweet boy so much! He has such a good heart and is such a fun kid to be around. He has so much energy. Everyone loves Rhett!

Rollerblades

One of the first things we did in Illinois is buy my kids new rollerblades. We wanted them to enjoy getting out of the house. This is the kids rollerblading down our sidewalk. We were very lucky cause it was still freezing cold in Utah but here it was already starting to warm up. We have definitely been enjoying the beautiful weather here. We eat dinner outside on our deck nearly every day.

Matching Jammies

We had such a great time when Holly and her kids stayed with us for New Years. We found these Mommy and me jammies on sale at Kohls. We all wore our jammies that night and watched Sorcerers Apprentice.

Gingerbread Houses

Rhett's is the top and Addi's is the bottom.
After Christmas these went on sale so I bought them and the kids had a great time making them and the best part was that it took very little supervision.

Christmas 2010

Addi got a Karaoke machine that she just loves. Addi is always playing music. One of her favorites is Micheal Jackson. Sometimes I feel like I have a teenager! She listens to music in her room all day and I am constantly telling her to turn it down!

Jingle Jam 2010

The kids love doing their Jingle Jam sadly I was not able to go this year because Lola was sick. I had the kids do a private performance for me at home.

Halloween

Yes I realize Halloween is long over. But I have not been getting around to blogging as well as I use to. Capri came from North Carolina at Halloween time. Which was a lot of fun. Ginger kids also went trick or treating with us. The kids had a great time trick or treating with Tyler and his Dad while us girls stayed home and had a great time.

Halloween Parade

The Halloween parade is something that I try to get out of going to every year. The gym is completely over crowded and all you get to do is see your kids walk by really fast. But they always want me there so I give in and go. Addi went as Alice in wonderland and Rhett was a Pokemon trainer. The other lady is Rhett's great teacher. I was not able to catch Addi's.

Crazy Hair day

We had a lot of fun with the markers on crazy hair day this year!

Halloween fun

So when I was little my mom use to let me paint the window for Halloween and I loved it! So I naturally thought it would be a great idea to let my kids do the same. They had a friend come and do it with us and we got to work. I made stencils and they had a great time. One that will never be recreated! Paint is just not meant to come off! It took me forever to get it all off ending with the use of a razor blade. Do not try this at home folks!

The Egg Drop

At Fox Hollow they do an egg drop in 3rd grade. We had heard that if you put the egg in peanut butter than when they drop it from the roof it doesn't brake. If the lid had not popped off maybe that would be true. But Rhett had a great time!

Lovell Reunion

This is the Potato car that Tyler made.

For the Lovell Family Reunion we made veggie cars and than had a derby race. The kids loved it. It was a really great idea that I want to copy and do it again.

Rhett's birthday #2

Ok so I know Rhett's birthday was forever ago. But I never got around to posting these pictures.

School

Both of my kids have now started school. It is a very bitter sweet thing I love having them home.
Rhett started first. He was so excited that he picked out his clothes the night before and then woke up at 7:30 in the morning. Which is much to early especially since school does not start till 9:15. It felt like the longest morning! He also would not let me take him to school. He wanted to ride his scooter. So I said my goodbyes at the door.
Addi started kindergarten just yesterday. I have to admit that I was excited. But when she lined up with her class and was about to walk away from me I got all teary. I bought Addi a new outfit for school so that she could look super cute on her first day. But she insisted on wearing leggings that did not really match and her hello kitty socks sticking out of ballet flats. I almost told her not to wear them, but then I thought I love my Punky Brewster Addi. I don't want to control or change her. So she looked adorably just like herself.
I am so lucky to have these two!

Baptism and Blessings

We gave Rhett a CTR ring for his baptism. He thinks it is pretty great!

Rhett was baptized on Aug. 7th. We also blessed Lola and since we never blessed Addi we blessed her also. It was a great day!
